Default Updated Alliance System

This has probably been suggested before, and if it breaks some forum rule please do not hesitate to lock.

My idea (and probably many other's) is to give us access to the roster of all allied guilds. I want to be able to see who is on and who is not without having to consult my incomplete friends list or asking over the chat. I believe this would simplilfy many things about having alliances, and would make many people happy. I am in an alliance where some very good friends of mine are leaders of other guilds. I'd really like to be able to see what's going on whenever I want to.
Just /sign or /notsigned and we will see if we can get this done.

/signed This issue makes me angry. I want to know if the cool people in other guilds are on! (I don't use friends lists; keep forgetting the hotkey )

lol yeah this has been said before...
HOWEVER:
i dont have ANY problem whatsoever with typing "/signed" 8 BILLION times if thats what it takes for Anet to implement this. it wouldnt be hard AT ALL and personally i dont have a CLUE why they DONT have this. It would be great if you could click on a guild in the Alliance Roster menu and see a list of their players with "offline" or "online" next to their names...

OK now i might be crazy lol but i seem to remember gaille saying theyd NEVER implement this. can someone confirm?? If so can we have SOMEONE give us a rational explanation as to WHY we will never have this... Thank-You

I don't remember Gaile saying anything like this, but if it was true, I can understand why.
1) I'm no expert in programming, but I think implementing an alliance roster would take up bandwith. Since Guild Wars doesn't have any monthly fees, they would want to keep it as cheap as possible.
2) There are some ***holes out there who ruin peoples' fun. If we had an alliance roster, a player would look it up and see if a certain player was online, if he was, the player might harass the other player in whispers.

Despite those problems, it'd be cool to have the alliance roster. Nothing else annoys me more than seeing "Anyone online?" in the alliance chat. (except for elementalist-haters and people who think warrior is the most superior profession.)

Hm... instead of complete lists, they could add a (x/y) after ach alliance name in the list.

No more 'anyone online?'.

Yes, I remember that post: Gaile said the main problem would be the length of the list (which is not that a problem if you add one tab per guild). I guess the bandwidth issue is the real problem, yes.

lol why do you want them to remove the kurzick/luxon thing lol that was the WHOLE point of factions. without that, factions was...well more of nothing than it already is.

and on the whole bandwith thing, wouldnt it take even MORE to have everyone fill up their friends lists...

I think is might be simpler if they simply made it so that you can see all people that are online in your allied guilds. After all, you only really care about who's on don't you?

When Gaile was talking about the list being too long, if she was, I can't understand how this idea would have that problem....

It would be a screen IDENTICAL to your guild roster. You click on that guilds name, a box apprears, you click on a button such as "show roster". That guild's roster is your your "G" button. Exiting and re-entering the "G" screen resets it. HOW would that harass the bandwidth? HOW?? You are getting rid of your screen for a new one, HOW HOW HOW?
